Ratings for Dr. Jason Smith
I met Dr.Jason C. Smith in Fracture Clinic of CENTENARY Hospital. I had accident with my bike. I sustained trauma to my L/Shoulder, bone fractures to wrist and pelvis. Cast was put on wrist, but pelvis fracture was not detected. Shoulder examination was also bypassed. 10 days after accident I had x-ray outside hospital, and was revealed fracture to pelvis. When I showed radiologist report to him, he took a second look at x-ray and dismissed it, "No big deal", Really, doctor? No apology?! On my subsequent visits he ignored my pleas to take a look at my shoulder. At the end he told me to see my doctor and make referral to his office, which we did. MIR revealed a complete tear of subscapularis tendon. On my last visit - in Fracture clinic- not in his office, he made laughing stock out of me. He made mocking examination of my shoulder, laughing, along with other man present (was never introduced to me). I was belittled and humiliated. The whole experience left me bitter and stressed. I find this doctor very rude and arrogant. Would never recommend him to anyone. I had to look for help in different hospital.
I did a number on my ankle, (displaced fracture of fibula and medial malleolus ). Dr. smith did a great job putting it back together - 1 plate and 8 screws! I have full confidence in him as an orthopaedic surgeon. However his people skills could use some improvement. I saw him through the Fracture Clinic rather than through his practice so I have no complaints about punctuality as I know he saw a lot of patients in the day, however I would certainly have liked him to be more willing to explain things to me and give me details of my injury.
I can not say enough about Dr. Smith. I have had surgery with him and so has my son. When he wasn't able to help me any more he sent me to someone else. He and his staff have been amazing for both my son and I. My son had Tommy John and I had shoulder surgery. I would and have recommended him. Thank you to you Dr. Smith and your staff from AW and BW
My daughter who is 18 had an ACL injury and meniscus tear repair. Dr Smith was polite introduced himself to our family, explained procedure that would be done and was very professional and kind. I would highly recommend him! I wanted the best surgeon for my daughter and we are very happy.
I don't know if he was having a bad day, but the level of rudeness shown was truly off the scale. Didn't inspire any confidence. Wouldn't consider him under any circumstances. Unprofessional. He was entirely dismissive and very arrogant. No way I will recommend him to anyone.
