Dr. Clasky is one of my most knowledgeable, sincere and compassionate ICU doctors I've met to date! Dr. Clasky was one of the ICU doctors who was INSTRUMENTAL in reviving my mother's LIFE after her 2 cardiac arrests, Pulmonary embolism and stroke. Dr. Clasky always updated my family on my mother's condition and even provided his business card to provide updates anytime. Dr. Clasky was sure to liase with other staff to help my mother prevent any falls and check for any active bleeding or reoccurring blood clots. My mother is alive , healthy and fully recovered because of the Scarborough General’s ICU and Emergency team. My family and I cannot be more appreciative and thankful enough, from the bottom of our hearts. Sincerely, K.C. and Family

Dr Clasky. Simply the absolute best there is. My father in law was in the hospital Dr Clasky was not his Dr but when he found out my father in law was having surgery he kept a watchful eye out for him from speaking to his surgeon to speaking to the nurses on his floor to see how he was doing. This goes way above and beyond what any Dr would do. He is a kind compassionate man who I can only imagine how he looks after his own patients. He really and truly cares about everyone. We were so lucky and touched by his selfless act of kindness for someone he doesn't even know. We are truly greatful and can't thank him enough. Thank you Dr Clasky. Thank you thank you thank you Sincerely Marcie and David Falus

This is shocking and unbelievable!! I know Dr Clasky personally, he is far from being an extortionist. He is smart, knowledgeable and compassionate, he cares about people, he makes time for patients and their families. the best doctor that ever looked after my family member. Dr Clasky would even return my calls in the middle of the night. He spent hours explaining things to us and never cared that we had no insurance coverage. Don't try to destroy a good doctor.

So "Why rate a doctor?" I asked myself. In my business as a Senior Executive Retail Leader, I take it very serious when someone has a bad or a good experience in my stores and that includes any ratings using online services. But that is rating an organization and not me as a person. When you rate a person, I would imagine they will tend to get very upset with (online) criticism, especially if the criticism is about the person and not the performance of the person and vice versa or both at the same time. People who go into medicine generally go into it with an altruistic purpose. So when they see criticism they tend not to be objective and look at it (instead) more sort of as an attack on their professionalism. I see online reviews as a reality check for an organization and more importantly for a doctor, to see if there is something going on that he or she might not be aware of or that he or she might be aware of but it’s more problematic than he or she thought. I read where a U.S. study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that a quarter of 3,500 people surveyed reported using online doctor rating sites. Of those, 35 per cent said they chose a doctor based on good ratings and 37 per cent had avoided a doctor with bad reviews. So I thought I would leave a review of Dr, Clasky ( Director of ICU Toronto Scarborough General Hospital ) * Background---- My mother (76 years old) was in an operation when she had an allergic reaction to a drug that sent her into an anaphylactic shock and stopped her heart for 25 mins. After bringing her back she was transferred to the ICU department. Dr, Clasky was her attending physician on the first couple of days and rotating with several others after that and was the person in charge. He was Honest, Open and Cautiously Optimistic. Non of which I liked because I wanted someone in charge tell me that my mom will be 100% back on her feet in no time and walking out of the hospital to continue her independent ways of shopping, cooking, cleaning, going out, driving, hanging out with friends etc that she was famous for doing. I did not want "CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC" Hello No! I did not like this Dr. Clasky guy. LOL As it turned out he was not only what I mentioned above but he was Friendly, Approachable and Caring. Six things happened that had me saying "WOW!" to the care my mom was getting from him. #1. He gave my brother and I his phone number which my brother thought was the department number and it turned out to be his cell and the call that my brother placed at 3am to ask a question on my moms health and Dr. Clasky actually waking up from the comfort of his home bed and answering the phone and talking to my brother was OUTRAGEOUS for anyone. Hell, I won't even do that to my staff. Did I mentioned it was 3 am?? #2. He told me personally that he will treat my mother as if it were his own. I'm thinking he must love his mom because I felt at ease after that. #3 My half brother is the leading neurosurgeon in Iowa and in my role of older son to my mom, I was questioning every move the staff and Dr Clasky made and consulting with my Iowa's finest. My Half bro told me that everything and every move that Dr. Clasky had made was the same thing he would have done. Hell, to tell the truth, he and Dr Clasky spoke on the phone about my mom's care. This was getting good. #4 Every time we walked into ICU ( we pretty much set up shop in the department) he gave us a summary of what was going on without us even asking. I really liked that one. #5 He started calling my mother "MOM" #6 My mom walked out of the hospital after 3 month and is looking forward to getting back to her old self. ( Some work is still needed but time will allow her to get there) So how do I rate someone like this? 5 Stars on Truth, Honesty, Approachable, Caring, Professionalism, Knowledge, Work Ethics and Family Interaction 1 STAR on the "Cautiously Optimistic" thing. Just joking.....The truth is always the best and you will be in Great hands. Thanks to the Nurses and RT and PT staff of ICU Department and to Dr Law

I have met with hundreds of Doctors concerning the care of my mother in the past several years. Dr Clasky by far has been the most knowledgeable and helpful doctor I have had the pleasure of meeting. He kept me inform during mom's recovery and was very insightful to my needs. Most doctors have never gone beyond call of duty as Dr. Clasky has done. Words can not express how great full I am to have had him caring for my mom. Scarborough General is very lucky to have him on their team. Thanks you so much.

Dr. Clasky saved my husband's life. He is the most understanding and humane doctor ever. He was never too busy to keep us informed. He returned phone calls immediately and was always available to talk while my husband was in ICU. I want to thank him for his caring treatment. THANK-YOU.
